Smarter Business Cards: Adding a vCard QR Code
Handing over a business card still happens — but the card that gets saved is the one people don't have to retype. A vCard QR code drops your full contact details into someone's phone in a single scan.
What a vCard code contains
A vCard QR encodes a standard contact file: name, title, company, phone, email, website and address. When scanned, the phone offers to create a new contact with everything pre-filled.
Why it beats typing
Manual entry is where contacts die. People mean to add you later, then never do. A scan removes the friction entirely, which is why event attendees and sales teams love it.
How to set it up
- Choose the vCard type in the generator.
- Fill in only the fields you want public — you control what is shared.
- Add your logo for brand recognition.
- Print it on the back of the card with a short prompt: "Scan to save my contact."
For teams, generate one per person and keep the styling consistent so every card looks like part of the same brand.
